Paul (he is only known as "Robbo" in football circles) was originally targeted to write the Foreword for The Leaders. As he was the team and club captain at the time of publication it made absolute sense. He agreed and then during our discussions it became clear that there was another book - his biography. He took some persuading as he was still playing and his footballing career was far from over. I believe the "trigger" for him to agree was the fact that he has four sons and I appealed to his emotions by saying something like "imagine when your sons have children they will be able to take your book off the bookshelf and say this is what Grandad did!"
